In his first year as head chef, Eberhard Lange not only defended the 17 Gault Millau points and the 3 F awarded by the magazine “Der Feinschmecker”, but also our prestigious Michelin star, which we are proud to say has been continuously awarded since 1999. This year, for the 24th time in a row, we are still proud winners of the Star.
Hugos Masterclass
Learn from the master – head chef Eberhard Lange – in our exclusive cooking class. You will discover insider tips from a Michelin-starred chef, along with professional techniques.
Rounded off with dinner, this class is a chance to sharpen your skills so you can create gourmet cuisine that you can recreate at home to wow your loved ones.
Classes are for groups of 6-12 and include a four-course dinner.

Michelin Star Chef: Eberhard Lange
Eberhard Lange is a master of his craft. Together with his young team, he creates uncomplicated dishes with passion on a gourmet level. Michelin-starred cuisine and a casual atmosphere are no longer incompatible opposites. Eberhard has been part of the Hugos Team at the InterContinental Berlin since 1998 and became Head Chef of Hugos in July 2015. Together with his Sous Chef Johannes Gehrich – part of the team since 2016 and promoted to Sous Chef in 2022 – and the rest of the kitchen team, they provide unparalleled culinary experience at the highest Michelin Star Restaurant in Berlin.

Maitre de Restaurant: Nicolas Zimmermann
After his Apprenticeship at the Sofitel Berlin, Nicolas has worked in the 3 Michelin Star Gourmet Restaurant “Weinbar Rutz”, at the Restaurant of the Hotel Stue Berlin and the “Schote Gourmet restaurant by Nelson Müller” in Essen. In 2019 he was also certified as a Sommelier and has spent some time in the last few years at established Vineyards. Before joining the Hugos team, he worked for the Weinkeller Stuttgart Mövenpick Wein.
Sommelier: Andrew Connor
For more than 14 years, Andrew has been working as a sommelier in London across some of the best known restaurants and hotels. In 2022 he started his journey in the German Capital working for the 2 Star Michelin Restaurant “Fischers Fritz” at the Regent Berlin, which later became “Charlotte & Fritz” before he joined the team at Hugos. He is responsible for everything related to Wine, and he is truly passionate about authentic and responsible produced Wines from smaller vineyards and loves to showcase domestic wines to his guests.
