Hugos Restaurant will take a short winter break from January 1st to January 15th, 2026, and will reopen on January 16th, 2026.

World Luxury Restaurant Awards

In his first year as head chef, Johannes Gehrich not only helped defend the previous years’ 17 Gault Millau points and the 3 F awarded by the magazine “Der Feinschmecker”, but also our prestigious Michelin star, which we are proud to say has been continuously awarded since 1999. This year (2025), for the 26th time in a row, we are still proud winners of the Star.

Chefkoch: Johannes Gehrich

Johannes Gehrich is a true master of his craft. Since joining the Hugos team at the InterContinental Berlin in 2016, he has shaped the kitchen with passion and precision, becoming Sous Chef in 2022 and taking the reins as Head Chef in late 2025. Together with his talented Sous Chef, Lisa Schröder, formerly of Restaurant AURA by Alexander Herrmann & Tobias Bätz and part of the Hugos team since December 2025, they lead a young, dynamic kitchen dedicated to creating gourmet-level dishes that are both refined and approachable. Under their guidance, Hugos delivers a culinary experience where Michelin-starred excellence meets a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere — proving that high-end cuisine and casual elegance can go hand in hand.

Additionally to the Hugos Restaurant, three Private Dining Areas are available to host your exclusive private Dinner or Event for 10 – 180 persons.

Located on the 14th floor with stunning views across the city’s skyline, you will find the right ambience to host your special event. And with the menu created by our Michelin Star Chef Johannes Gehrich accompanied by a personal wine recommendation and perfect service from our Sommelier and team lead by our Maitre de Restaurant Shahab Jalali, you will rest assured the evening will be memorable.
